2nd Grade--Eric Carle

We're in the middle of an Eric Carle unit in second grade. It's been messy and fun. Today we covered paper with beautiful designs and textures. We stamped soda caps, spools, bobbins, marker lids, scraps of carpet, bubble wrap, and even scribbled into wet paint. The 2nd graders were so fantastic. They tried so many things, and their papers turned out amazing! Next week we're going to cut up these wonderful papers (GASP!) and make collages of imaginary animals. I can't wait.

I can't wait to see what they do! I love it! My kids want to be in your art class! I will have to let them do this at home. I might have to try this on fabric. That would make some marvelous quilts.
